The National Science Foundation Future Scientists Scholarship in Polymer Science and Chemistry
at the
University of Southern Mississippi












The School of Polymers and High Performance Materials and the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry are proud to award scholarships of up to $10,000 per academic year to outstanding future scientists at the BS level.  These National Science Foundation supported scholarships are awarded to deserving high school and transfer students enrolling full time as Chemistry or Polymer Science majors.
 

    Eligibility 
  • High School senior with an ACT score of 26 or above OR
  • Transfer student with 3.5 GPA
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Declares Polymer Science or Chemistry and Biochemistry as major
  • Demonstrates financial need
    Requirements
  • Maintain good academic standing
  • Demonstrable progress toward selected degree
  • Participation in NSF Future Scientists Scholars programs
  • Participation in guided research projects
  • Submission of brief annual report
