About Us
Eagle Connection is the official student recruitment team for Southern Miss. Eagle Connection is comprised of a group of students who travel around the southeastern region to recruit prospective students to Southern Miss. Eagle Connection members are well-versed on admission requirements, scholarship information, and general university facts. In many ways, Eagle Connection members are the face of the university because they enable prospective students to form their first impressions of Southern Miss.

Eagle Connection is headed up by one advisor, Amanda Belsom. Her mission is to guide the organization of the group and to provide continuous support, advice and leadership. Amanda graduated with her BS in Business Administration in 2003 and her Masters in College Student Personnel in 2006. She has been the advisor of Eagle Connection for the past 3 years.
How to Join Eagle Connection
Membership to Eagle Connection is open to all students who have completed at least two semesters at Southern Miss. In order to select the brightest and most dynamic student leaders on campus, selection for Eagle Connection is based on an application and interview process. The selection process is held during the spring semester.
