Students planning to enter Southern Miss as freshmen should submit ACT or SAT test results, along with their high school transcript. Also, Southern Miss has many academic scholarship opportunities based on ACT/SAT scores and GPA. Please send your ACT/SAT score to us as soon as possible.

Apply to Southern Miss!
You will need to turn in an application, $35.00 application fee, high school transcript, ACT/SAT scores, and
shot records (two MMR's).
It is encouraged that you apply during the fall semester of your senior year in order to meet the competitive scholarship deadlines.
Apply for Scholarships
February 1 is the deadline for all competitive and merit-based freshman scholarships. Students who wish to be considered for the Presidential Scholarship, Leadership Scholarship, Luckyday Foundation Citizenship Scholarship must complete and submit the 2010 Competitive Freshman Programs Application by the postmarked deadline of February 1. Students seeking consideration for the Academic Excellence Scholarship and the Regional Scholarship must be admitted to Southern Miss by the deadline of February 1 (no application is necessary for these scholarships).
Living on Campus?
February 1 is the priority application deadline for housing. Apply online for housing with the Department of Residence Life.
