• Southern Miss maintains an updated operations plan. This deals with logistics of security, infrastructure needs - electricity, water, buildings, Web, technology – and other operational considerations.
  
• The university maintains an updated communications plan. This deals with getting messages to key audiences – students, families, authorities, and the general public – regarding the facts and latest assessment of the situation.
