Transfer Scholarship Guidelines
First-time transfer students enrolling for the upcoming fall semester will be considered.
To be considered for any of these scholarships, you must have submitted an application for admission, $35 application fee and transcripts from all institutions attended after high school by the scholarship deadline.
Regional Scholarship (for Nonresidents of Mississippi)
Application Deadline: July 1
- Scholarship represents full value of nonresident tuition for up to two years.
- Transfer students with a 3.0 cumulative grade point average are eligible.
- Must have 48 hours completed or in progress
- To apply, complete and submit the 2013 Transfer Scholarship Application.
Golden Opportunity Scholarship
Application Deadline: July 1
- Scholarships can range up to $4,000.
- Students with a 3.0 cumulative grade point average who are not members of Phi Theta Kappa may be considered.
- Must have 48 hours completed or in progress
- To apply, complete and submit the 2013 Transfer Scholarship Application.
Community/Junior College Achievement Scholarship
Application Deadline: July 1
- Scholarship is $4,000 over two years ($2,000 annually).
- Members of Phi Theta Kappa honor society with a 3.25 cumulative grade point average are eligible.
- Must have 48 hours completed or in progress
- To apply, complete and submit the 2013 Transfer Scholarship Application.
Mississippi Community/Junior All-Academic Team Scholarship
Application Deadline: July 1
- One-time scholarship of $1,000
- Mississippi community/junior college students who have been nominated to the state or national All-Academic team are eligible.
- To apply, complete and submit the 2013 Transfer Scholarship Application.
Mississippi Community/Junior College President’s Scholarship
Application Deadline: July 1
- One-time scholarship of $1,000
- Mississippi community/junior college students nominated by their community/junior college president are eligible.
- One student per community/junior college branch may be nominated.
- To apply, complete and submit the 2013 Transfer Scholarship Application.
