I am an Associate Professor in the Counseling Psychology program at the University of Southern Mississippi, where I also serve as Director of the Community Counseling and Assessment Clinic. I earned my Ph.D. from Colorado State University and joined the Southern Miss faculty in 1999.
My research involves (1) the assessment and treatment of clinically dysfunctional anger and aggression, and (2) traffic psychology. I am currently the principal investigator on a study funded by the National Institutes of Health to evaluate treatments for angry and aggressive adults. I also direct the anger management program at the Community Counseling and Assessment Clinic, providing specialized training and supervision to graduate students.
I teach graduate-level courses in psychological assessment and psychopathology. At the undergraduate level, I teach forensic psychology and testing and assessment.
I am a licensed psychologist in the state of Mississippi, and I serve on the Editorial Advisory Board of Accident Analysis & Prevention.
