U.S. Forest Service Archaeological Internship

U.S. Forest Service

Archaeological

Internship

The archaeological internship program allows two graduate students to work the U.S. Forest Service in the DeSoto and Chickasawhay National Forest near Hattiesburg. The positions are normally limited to second-year graduate students, and are assigned on a competitive basis. The internships include two summers of full-time work in addition to part-time work during the academic year. Up to two undergraduates are eligible for summer archaeological internships.

Two awards were given during the 2006-07 academic year to graduate students David Martin and Andrew Thompson

To find out more information about the internship program, contact Dr. James Flangan for details.
