Army ROTC Scrapbooks Available for View in Archives
The University of Southern Mississippi Army ROTC has recently transferred its collection of ROTC scrapbooks from the 60s, 70s, and 80s to the McCain Library and Archives. Dr. Mark Danley, the university's curator for manuscripts and archives, was instrumantal in effecting the transfer.

Yvonne Arnold, archives specialist, worked to ensure its accessioning and preservation was according to archival standards. The scrapbooks had been complied by the ROTC Scabbard and Blade Honor Society and deplicted various scenes of cadet and universtiy life both on and off campus.

The scrapbooks are located in RG (record Group) 82 of the Univestity Archives. Anyone wishing to view them may visit the Brooks Reading Room on the third floor of McCain Library and Archives. For more information, contact Arnold at (601) 266-4348 or Danley at (601) 266-5592.
