HATTIESBURG
- The
University of Southern Mississippi's 2003 Homecoming will have
something for everyone - from a parade down Hardy Street to college
football action when the Golden Eagles take on the Ragin' Cajuns of
Louisiana-Lafayette in the two school's 50th meeting on the
gridiron.
Former Golden
Eagle quarterback Reggie Collier will serve as grand marshal of the
parade. The homecoming parade was revived five years ago following a
27-year absence from the university's homecoming activities.
Students begin working on floats and campus decorations beginning
Monday of homecoming week.
"We're looking
forward to a fun week of activities, and welcoming our alumni and
friends of the university to campus for this special week," said
Mike Mitchell, assistant dean of students.
