Assistant Director (50% FTE)
Evon Swan has a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in American Studies and Business Technology, which she obtained while working full-time at The University. Among her interesting work history is a two-year stint of long-haul trucking, driving cross-country routes. Since then, Evon has worked on campus in a variety of student services jobs, most recently in the Student Services Center of the Dean’s office, where she was ACA. Since 2011, Evon has been working to learn SOARFIN so that she can help manage departmental and unit budgeting. Although she has loved working with students, she is eager to pursue learning and developing new skills; it is this curiosity and love of learning that will stand her in good stead with her work in iCoRE. As with her background, Evon’s interests are varied; she enjoys hunting, gardening, quilting, and her eight grandchildren.
Evon’s early contributions to iCoRE will be helping faculty in areas of budget management, completion of forms and paperwork, and assisting in project coordination of proposal development.
