Submission guidelines:
• Submit electronically to Nicolle.Jordan@usm.edu
• Submit only your own original work.
• Essays may be on any aspect of Le Guin’s A Wizard of Earthsea.
• Accepted essay length is between 500-1000 words.
• Submissions must be received by November 15.
Prizes of $100 will be awarded in two catagories: 1) high-school and 2) undergraduate.

Dustin Keys, a junior English major from Seminary and the winner of the undergraduate essay contest. His essay titled "Rocking the Boat: Binaries in Earthsea" examined the femininity and masculinity of characters in the fantasy novel "A Wizard of Earthsea" by Ursula K. LeGuin.
