Today was amazingly "well-rounded" for us! First thing this morning, I met with faculty members who will be going through Pre-Tenure review in the spring. We talked through the process and discussed what they can do right now to prepare their materials.
Later in the afternoon I met with students during the SGA-sponsored session they are calling "Warm Up To The Dean." Coffee, cookies, and conversation about everything from course selection, to career planning, to the format of specific online courses made the hour just fly by.
Finally, at 5:30 I attended an opening reception with the faculty in Mass Communication for their Alumni Hall of Fame weekend. It was great to meet so many successful USM journalism and film alumni who have made their mark in media.
