I spent my lunch hour doing a little workshop for Student Printz staffers on podcasting. In recent years I've worked on trying to develop my skills in new media, and I mention it here because I'm hoping to increase our use of these tools to keep in touch with Honors College students. I don't know how long students will remain fascinated with new media, but for now technology is a great way to reach out. In the College we've used podcasts and Youtube videos to spread the word on events.We'll be expanding our use of Youtube videos thanks to a minigrant we've received from the Learning Enhancement Center. Honors College students will be producing videos about student life, and the videos will be posted here as well as on the popular video site. Watch this space!
