I spent a pleasurable hour this morning with the World Lit class (ENG203) listening to student reports on ancient Greece. The reports were terrific, of course, but the highlight of any trip to Dr. Stanley Hauer's class is Dr. Hauer himself. A longtime professor of English and a former associate dean of the College of Liberal Arts, Hauer is renowned among our students for his command of the material, his engaging delivery, and his friendly rapport with students. It was a double dose of learning to hear both from the students and from Dr. Hauer.
Stacey Ready, our coordinator of General Honors, sat in class as well. Stacey does a great job overseeing our freshman- and sophomore-level classes and, like me, enjoys watching our profs and students at work. Pictured above is one of the morning's star presenters, Ashley Long, and our own Dr. Hauer.
