One of our favorite sites to visit for student recruiting is the Mississippi School for Math & Science in Columbus. So we of course were delighted when President Martha Saunders received an invitation to speak at MSMS this week. The entire school came together Wednesday for a convocation to hear Dr. Saunders, Vice President for Student Affairs Joe Paul, recruiter Danielle Clarke, and myself talk up both Southern Miss and our very own Honors College.After our talk, we had the pleasure of having lunch with MSMS’ top administrators and with some of their best and brightest seniors. Some of my favorite incoming students this year were arrivals from MSMS, and I’m hoping to continue to recruit some of the school’s best students for the College.
