Whenever I meet a successful student, it's a safe bet that supportive parents are somewhere nearby. Last night was no exception. Braving torrential rains and tornado warnings, area national merit semi-finalists attended a dinner at Southern Miss to check out opportunities here. The young people were utterly delightful...engaging...well-directed. Their parents were present. I suspect they always have been.
