I was proud to be present yesterday when the IHL awarded our Community Learning Faculty Fellow program its first place Best Practices Award. The program has provided a unique opportunity for student learning, faculty development AND community service.
Many have contributed to the success of the program, but a few must be recognized for their support in its development:
Dr. Joe Paul, Vice President for Student Affairs, was co-creator of the program and oversees its progress.
Ms. Barbara Ross, Director of Student Activities, creator and champion of the program.
Mr. David Brookings, Director of the Office of Community Service Learning, who maintains excellence and runs the program operations.
Dr. Richard Conville, our founding and still leading faculty champion for the faculty fellows program.
The award came with a $10,000 prize.
