If the Hattiesburg campus looks livelier than usual this morning, it's because we will be hosting an emergency drill this morning at 10. The University Police Department will be enacting an "active shooter" scenario and working with Forrest General Hospital on the handling of multiple casualties.
It's unfortunate that we have found it necessary to be prepared for such horror. The safety of our students and employees is paramount...thus, we are doing everything possible to keep our campus secure.
