Planning for the new Southern Miss Gulf Coast campus has begun in earnest. I have appointed a master planning committee to work with the collaborative planning group of Eley Associates, Studio South Architects and Sasaki Associates. The 34-member committee will be co-chaired by Sid Gonsoulin (who chaired the master planning effort on the Hattiesburg campus) and Bryan Billings, director of project planning for Southern Miss Gulf Coast. Pat Joachim, Associate Provost for Southern Miss Gulf Coast, will coordinate the effort and has been charged with communicating with us on the committee's progress.
Work sessions begin August 28.
