I spent yesterday on retreat with the vice presidents and others who report directly to me. The day flew by as we discussed each division's top goals for the year and how we can help each other meet them. We discussed a wide variety of topics candidly and ended the day with the positive spirit I have come to expect from such a stellar team. In spite of tight budgets and other uncertainties--it's going to be a great year.
Today, we are conducting a tabletop disaster drill with the emergency management team. The "crisis du jour" will be a surprise (as most usually are.) Team members have completed a short course in preparation for the drill. Only a couple complained about the extra homework.
