To the old friends, welcome back. To the newcomers, welcome home.

Residence life began it's re-training process for the returning RA's and the basic training for the new RA's on the 6th. This semester is full of promising opportunities. My staff here at McCarty Hall is amazing. Every time we are together, we laugh till we cry. The laughter is contagious, too. We picked up two new staff members this semester. I am sure they are going to fit in great. Several new faces are on my floor. The most excited seem to be the exchange students. On my floor alone, I gained three exchange students. One from  France and the other two are from Spain. The others all spread out all over McCarty.

Until I transferred over here, I really did not realize how much Southern Miss stands out compared to the other major universities in the state in relation to studying abroad. We bring in and send out SO many people. I have several friends who have been to locations all around the world... England, Spain, France, Germany, Australia, and numerous destinations all throughout South America (just to name a few).

I'll be going to pick up my books in the Thad Cochran Center at the Barnes and Nobles book store. soon. They make it so quick and convenient.
