Sam

Well, Sam and his boys have polished up the first album, and here's one of the ways you can pick it up. I have spent the past three hours in the Starbucks on campus doing research, and I must say this album is quite conducive in getting work done.  If you've got an upcoming essay, exam, or if you just like good music, give the album a try.  Speaking of music, check back tomorrow for another installment of Southern Miss Music Tuesdays.

Jake and Sam

It's Spring Parties week, the annual week to kick you're flip-flop wearing feet up and relax before exams come and give you an indian sunburn.  One of the events of this week is Pi Kappa Phi's date auction, where the men find costumes to wear and are auctioned off as a fundraiser.  This year, I got creative and built myself a Lego Costume.

So Sam Zeanah Band didn't win the battle of the bands... a band called Red Hill City did.  Shame.

The day was still great, though- after the battle of the bands I went to Pi Kappa Phi's parent's day lunch, then some Southern Miss football.  Coach Fedora's voice reminded me of my football coach's voice from my high school-- hoarse from yelling.  It's basically the vital characteristic of a successful coach.

Keep yelling, Coach.

Hey- if you're a Southern Miss musician who has an original song for us to showcase, give us a shout at samandjakeusm@gmail.com

Check back good and soon-  we've got a big weekend planned.
This is the official promotional video for the album, and it also features footage from recording. Enjoy.
My band, Sam Zeanah Band, finished our album and I'm sending it off to be printed tomorrow. We recorded it in one day - 14 hours straight. It was pretty hectic, but a lot of fun. Our Album Release Party is going to be at the Boom Boom Room in Hattiesburg on Friday, April 18 at 10 pm. I'm anxious and excited to see how everything turns out. Check back for a video of the recording session.
