If your career interests lean towards entrepreneurship and/or family-owned businesses, then our Business Administration major may be of interest to you. Business Administration is a broad major that prepares students for careers in a wide range of businesses. It is designed for those students wishing to pursue business careers but who do not necessarily wish to specialize in one of the more “traditional” fields of business. The variety of upper level business courses provides students with the expertise in developing and maintaining a business of their own.
Business Administration majors receive instruction in accounting, economics, statistics, finance, management, information systems, taxes, insurance, human resources, retail or direct marketing, and more. Careers for the BSBA major are found in many sectors including government, education, private business and retail.
A degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in entrepreneurship prepares you for the challenges and opportunities in small-business management or ownership. It also provides a foundation for further graduate study in business.
