Emphasis areas within the Finance major are offered in Banking and Finance, Personal Financial Planning and Real Estate. Each curriculum stresses education in theory, tools of analysis, and problem-solving techniques fundamental to firms operating in the finance, real estate, and financial service industries.

Career Outlook
Students choosing the Banking and Finance emphasis are prepared for careers with banks and other financial institutions, securities firms, and government agencies that oversee the financial sector.

Courses in the Real Estate emphasis prepare the student for real estate sales, property management and financing, among others.

Students in the Financial Planning emphasis may also work toward requirements necessary to sit for the Certified Financial Planner Exam TM in conjunction with the Center for Financial Services.
