Tourism Management: Casino Resort Management Degree Plan (TOUCRBSBA))

This emphasis area within Tourism Management permits the interested student to obtain specialized knowledge applicable directly to the booming Casino and Resort segment of the industry. Students completing this area of emphasis find themselves more attractive to companies within these fields due to the unique combination of classes designed to enhance their knowledge and understanding of this dynamic subset of the industry.

In addition to the Core Course Requirements for Business Students, those students enrolling in the CRM emphasis will complete the following courses.

Casino/Resort Management Emphasis (Select 18 hrs)

TM 200 (Introduction to Hospitality and Tourism)
TM 340 (Dimensions of Tourism)
TM 378 (Casino/Resort Operations Management)
TM 476 (Technology in Casino/Resort Operations)
TM 472 (Casino/Resort Marketing)
TM 475 (Casino/Resort Financial Analysis.)
TM 471 (Regulatory, Legal, Security Aspect of C/R Operations)

Directed Elective (Select 6 hrs)

TM 345 (Customer Services Management)
TM 478 (Casino/Resort Operations Management II)
TM 479 (Industry Internship)

Optional Non-CBED Minor (Minimum of 18 hours)

SELECT ANY COURSES NECESSARY TO FULFILL THE MINIMUM NUMBER OF HOURS NEEDED TO GRADUATE. NON-BUSINESS COURSES RECOMMENDED.
