Welcome to the Department of Casino, Hospitality, Tourism Management, an integral part of the College of Business at Southern Miss! Tourism Management at Southern Miss has an exciting and colorful history and, without a doubt, the future is exploding in front of us. The time to be involved is now! If you have ever wished for a stimulating and fulfilling career in one of the world’s largest and fastest growing industries, this is the place to be. Graduates of the Tourism Management program go on to find engaging, challenging employment in casinos, hotels, restaurants, resorts, convention centers and cruise ships among other venues. Our program offers you a holistic view of tourism management, covering and integrating all aspects of the industry: casino and resort management, events planning, hospitality management and restaurant administration. The department also offers you the opportunity to further specialize and tune your talents by completing an emphasis in either Casino Resort Management or Hospitality Management. Our faculty are actively engaged in the field and bring with them a diverse and rich mixture of backgrounds and skills. Faculty research and practical experiences will provide you with unique insights and knowledge of the industry to help you toward a successful career.
