Student Economic Development Association

About SEDA

The goal of the Student Economic Development Association (SEDA), is to provide a student organization made up of both graduate and undergraduate students that want to pursue careers that will promote economic development on a local, regional, national, and international level. It fosters a community of networking, learning, and leadership within the Master of Business in Economic Development program at Southern Miss. We hold networking and social events throughout each semester to connect students with scholars and practicing economic developers, many of whom are alumni of the master’s program. This student group hosts several annual networking events in partnership with the Economic Development Alumni Association, including an annual spring baseball tailgate and football tailgates. SEDA also supports any members interested in attending Mississippi Economic Development Council events.
