Gary Burrus

Gary Burrus, Jr. has over 21 years of experience in the hospitality industry with extensive experience in resort operations.  Gary currently operates as the Director of Resort Operations for Harrah's Tunica overseeing several hotels, RV park, Cotton Woods Golf Course, Willows Sporting Clays and Hunting Center, and all related functions of the hotels including valet, bell staff, and housekeeping.  Other areas of experience within the industry includes HR administration (recruiting, employee relations, training), Resort Security (risk management, investigations), Facilities Maintenance, EVS, Transportation Operations, and Customer Service.  Gary served the State of Mississippi previously as an agent for the MS Bureau of Narcotics.

Gary holds a BA in Psychology / Statistical analysis from the University of South Alabama, an MA in Business and Organizational Management (focus in security and risk managment) from Webster University, and is currently a doctoral candidate in Human Capital Development at USM.  He has held several certifications including Certified Protection Professional, Certified Lodging Security Director, and Certified Protection Professional.
