Mr. Rusty Anderson
Rusty Anderson is the director of the career services office at Southern Miss having returned to the campus in 1995, after 11 years with Millsaps College. He also serves as an adjunct instructor in the Tourism Management department. Mr. Anderson has over 31 years of experience in higher education.
Mr. Anderson received his masters’ degree in counseling psychology and his undergraduate degree in social and rehabilitation services from The University of Southern Mississippi. He has held numerous leadership positions including National President of the Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society, Conference Co-Chair Southeastern Association of College and Employers, President of the Mississippi Association of Colleges and Employers, President of the Southern Miss Staff Council and serves on numerous advisory boards on campus.
Mr. Anderson has presented at numerous conferences and professional associations and currently serves on several university committees. Rusty was named the USM Association of Office Professionals, Educational Administrator of the Year, 2005-2006.
