Dr. DePree has published in academic, education, and professional journals. Quality academic journals include Abacus, Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, and Business and Professional Ethics Journal. Quality education journals include Issues in Accounting Education. Quality professional journals include Journal of Accountancy, The Professional Lawyer (ABA), CPCU Journal, Management Accounting, and Strategic Finance. Other scholarly activities includes The CPA Journal, The Journal of Commercial Lending, Ohio CPA Journal, Case and Comment, The Disclosure, National Public Accounting, The Beverly Hills Bar Association Journal, The Practical Accountant, Accounting Instructor’s Report, and New Accountant. He is a recipient of the Certificate of Merit awarded by the Institute of Management Accounting for “Strategic Planning for Environmental and Tort Claims,” The Lucas Endowment Faculty Excellence Award, and the University of Southern Mississippi Summer Research Grant. His presentations include Annual American Accounting Association Meetings, National Decision Sciences Meetings, and National TIMS/ORSA Meetings. He was an invited speaker at the Research Workshop Series, Culverhouse School of Accounting, University of Alabama, the Faculty Forum at the University of Calgary, and the Counsel Forum, Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company. He was a reviewer for The Accounting Review, Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, European Journal of Operations Research, and Computers and Operations Research.
