Academic and Professional Interests
Dr. Jackson, a CPA, has published 17 articles in numerous research journals, has had 19 research papers published as meeting proceedings and has made 32 presentations of his research at various meetings. He is the co-author of a managerial accounting textbook now in it’s fourth edition published by Thomson/SouthWestern. He is currently the editor of the Journal of Accounting and Finance Research.
Professional Honors and Achievements
He has received six outstanding teaching awards at Arizona State University and the University of Southern Mississippi, two outstanding research awards from The University of Tennessee at Martin and The University of Southern Maine. He has held distinguished professorships at The University of Tennessee at Martin and Loyola University New Orleans where he was also the director of the accounting program. He also held an Endowed Chair at the University of Tennessee at Martin. He has been listed in Who’s Who among America’s Teachers and Who’s Who in Business Higher Education.
