appearing in Nicotine and Tobacco Research. Current research includes analysis of agricultural production efficiency in China and economic resiliency in coastal regions following a hurricane.

Professional Honors and Achievements
Dr. Monchuk is the recipient of the M. Jarvin Emerson Graduate Student awarded by the Mid-Continent Regional Science Association in 2003 and received honorable mention for his Master's thesis from the Canadian Agricultural Economics Association in 2000. Dr. Monchuk is also an avid
backpacker and has hiked in a number of different mountain ranges including the Rockies, Andes, and the Carpathians.

His research activities involve developing applied models in portfolio management, financial planning, financial risk management, and structured debt instruments. Dr. Clark has also served as a financial consultant for several firms. He is a member of the USM Foundation Investment Committee and on the Board of Experts for PassPro for the CFA. He has taught exam prep courses for the CFA and CFP exams and continuing education seminars for the USM Foundation, the Southeast Mississippi Rural Health Initiative, the Kansas City Board of Trade, the Missouri Society of Enrolled Agents, the Missouri Society of CPA's, the Kansas Society of CPA's, the Garrett Financial Planning Network, and Financial Planning Workshops, Inc.

Courses Taught
Clark teaches undergraduate courses in investments and financial planning and an MBA course in investment analysis.

In 2004, Clark was named to the editorial review board of the Journal of Financial Planning.
