Academic and Professional Interests
My research interests can best be described as consumer behavior and retail formats. I am most interested in how consumers react and behave in a variety of consumer environments, including traditional and non-traditional retail locations as well as environments where products are used.
Past projects have included an investigation of regional mall loyalty, funded by a development grant awarded by The University of Georgia, in which focus group and intercept data were collected at regional shopping malls to identify the determinants of mall loyalty. Another past project, which was funded by the Georgia Traditional Industries Program focused on children and teachers as consumers of flooring products in preschool classrooms. In this project a survey was mailed to a national sample of preschool administrators and teachers to determine whether flooring options met the needs of their students and center. |
