Mississippi Community College Transfer Equivalencies

Southern Miss is part of an articulation agreement with the Mississippi Community/Junior Colleges to allow students to easily transfer from these state institutions. Students are able to take a prescribed list of courses totaling half of their degree program at the community college level prior to enrolling at Southern Miss. The following table lists the courses that students desiring a major in the College of Business may transfer. Note: Technical courses are not accepted in transfer, i.e. BOT, CPT, etc.

Degree Requirements
CoB students must complete 120* hours with 2.0 GPA on all USM course work, USM and transfer course work combined, in the Business Administration Core, and in the major course area (including all duplicate courses).

Academic Program Requirements
Minimum of 120 hours required in program
Minimum of 62 hours required from a 4 year college
Minimum of 45 hours at 300 or 400 level
Minimum of LAST 32 hours at USM
