Student Organizations

Alpha Kappa Psi
This group is for undergraduates and graduates enrolled and pursuing a degree in commerce, economics, or business administration. Its purposed is to further the individual welfare of its members, and to foster scientific research in the fields of commerce, accounts, and finance.

American Marketing Association
This group was created to foster scientific study and research in the field of marketing. Membership is limited to students interested in marketing who are approved by the executive committee.

Association of Information Technology Professionals
This organization strives to develop a better understanding of the nature of functions of data processing management; promote sound general principles in data processing management and to study technical methods with a view to their improvements; supply to its members information of the most current methods; and assist them in solving their individual problems. Student membership is granted to any student who is a candidate for a baccalaureate degree and the degree major must be consistent with the desire to enter the field of data processing. The student cannot be on academic or social probation.

Beta Alpha Psi
This organization is for members who have declared a concentration in accounting and have completed at least four semesters of accounting study. Its purpose is to help students better understand the professional requirements, laws, rules, and regulations governing the practice of accounting for the protection of our future employers and clients of ourselves as representatives of the profession.

Beta Gamma Sigma
This organization seeks to encourage and reward scholarship and accomplishment among students of business and administration, to promote the advancement of education in the art and science of business, and to foster integrity in the conduct of business activities.

Delta Sigma Pi
This organization prepares business major students for the professional world; to encourage scholarship, social activity, and the association of students for their mutual advancement by research and practice; and to foster study of business in universities.

Epsilon Chi Omicron
This is a student chapter of the national organization for international busienss scholars.

Financial Management Association
The purpose of this organization is to encourage and reward scholarship and accomplishment in business and non-business finance and banking among undergraduates and graduate students, to provide an association for college students actively interested in these fields, and to encourage a friendly attitude by business executives toward students of business finance and banking.

Graduate Business Association
This organization develops fellowship and unity to bring together interdisciplinary skills and experience; encourages academic excellence, and perpetuates the MBA and MPA program.

Omicron Delta Epsilon
Promotes awareness in economics.

Phi Beta Lambda
This organization provides opportunities for postsecondary students to develop business-related career competencies.

Phi Chi Theta
The purpose of this organization is to promote the cause of higher business education and training for all women, foster higher ideals for career businesswomen, and encourage cooperation among women training for such careers, and stimulate the spirit of sacrifice and unselfish devotion to the attainment of such ends.

Society for Advancement of Management
This group encourages study and research in the betterment of our standard of living by the application of scientific principles and methods of management to all fields of human endeavor, and creates and develops the highest ethical conception of individual and collective social responsibility on the part of students of management. Open to students seeking a major or minor in the Department of Management above the freshman level, with a sincere interest in the art and science of management.

Professional Convention Management Association
This group familiarizes its members with the basic aspects of the meetings and conventions field through educational and networking opportunities supported or developed by the Professional Convention Management Association and its members. Open to all hospitality, tourism, meeting, or convention management undergraduate or graduate students.

Business Student Advisory Council
This group is composed of representatives of each of the CoB student groups and departmental areas. It serves in an advisory group to the dean, hosting the annual awards banquet each spring. Its members also serve as an ambassador group from the College of Business.
