For the occasion of our current art exhibition, John Heliker: Drawing on the New Deal, 1932-1948, the Museum of Art will host a concert of modern music performances featuring compositions by John Cage (1912-1992), Henry Cowell (1897-1965), Lou Harrison (1917-2003), Charles Ives (1874-1954), Carl Ruggles (1876-1971), and Edgar Varèse (1883-1965).

The concert, sponsored by the Southern Miss School of Music, will feature performances by Joe Brumbeloe, Ellen Elder, Buck McDaniel, Jennifer Tipton, Andrew Gilstrap, Fabiana Magrinelli Rocha Dahmer, and others.
