“Gender Inequality in the Toy Store: How Gender Shapes Where We Shop, How We Shop, and What We Buy”
Dr. Christine Williams, a 2012-2013 recipient of the Distinguished Lecturer Award from the national organization, Sociologists for Women in Society, will be giving a public lecture titled Gender Inequality in the Toy Store: How Gender Shapes Where We Shop, How We Shop, and What We Buy on the Hattiesburg campus of The University of Southern Mississippi on March 21, 2013, Thursday, at 4:00 p.m. in the Liberal Arts Building, Room 108 (Gonzales Auditorium).
Dr. Williams, whose research centers on gender, race, and class inequality in the workplace, is a professor and the chair of the Department of Sociology at the University of Texas at Austin.
A reception will follow the lecture.
