will host call center conference

GULFPORT - The University of Southern Mississippi, positioning
itself as a leading resource for information on the call center
industry, is hosting the Gulf South Call Center Conference next
month.
A news conference to announce the event is scheduled for 1:30
p.m. today at the Grand Casino in Gulfport. Attending will be
USM President Shelby Thames, Mississippi Development Authority
director Leland Speed and David Butler, keynote presenter for
the conference.
The call center conference, originally scheduled for this month
but sidelined by Hurricane Ivan, will be held Oct. 27-28 at USM
Gulf Park.
At the conference, university officials will announce formation
of three entities at USM focusing on the industry.
Information Incorporated, the National Association of Call Centers
and the Call Center Research Laboratory.
