On March 30, 2010, The University of Southern Mississippi will celebrate the 100th anniversary of its legislative founding. In just 100 short years, Southern Miss has grown from a local teaching college into a nationally-known institution of higher learning that educates thousands of students at multiple locations every year.

Clearly there is no better time to celebrate than our Centennial, and plans are being made now to ensure that this momentous anniversary captures both our treasured past and our golden future.
