 2015 Book Festival Ad

Each year, more than 400 teachers and librarians from across the nation come to the University of Southern Mississippi to hear major speakers and participate in concurrent sessions and workshops as authors, illustrators, and experts in the field share their knowledge and experience. CEUs are available for Mississippi educators.

 

 

We are pleased to announce that the 2015 festival will be held April 8-10 with Medallion Winner Paul O. Zelinsky!  Keynote speakers include Coleen Salley Storytelling Award Winner Rita Auerbach, Peter Brown, Ezra Jack Keats Lecturer Carolyn S. Brodie, Nikki Grimes, David LevithanSteve Sheinkin, de Grummond Lecturer Deborah Wiles and Gene Luen Yang.


 

 New in 2015! Two special panels featuring:

  • Chris Barton, Kathleen Merz and Don Tate
  • David Levithan and Deborah Wiles 

The Festival is proud to host the Ezra Jack Keats Awards.
