4/2/09- Camp Jabberjaw is scheduled for Monday, June 8th through Friday, June 12th, and Sarah Case-Price is looking for camp counselors.
Camp Jaberjaw emphasizes the use of augmentative and alternative communication ( A A C ) devices. The one week program provides both parents and children who do and do not use these devices with a means of sharing, learning, and growing as well as establishing friendships that extend well after the camp is over.
Funded in part by the Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services Project START, this year's camp will be held at the T.K. Martin Center at Mississippi State University. Our theme this year? A Night at the Museum which will emphasize dinosaurs and science.
Sarah has lots of ideas for this year's activities, and she'd be delighted to obtain additional ones from our internet visitors.
If you're interested in serving as a camp counselor, contact Sarah through our e-mail web link or call the Children's Center by phone.
