October, 2008- The Children’s Center for Communication and Development at The University of Southern Mississippi has received a $1,000 community grant from Sam’s Club of Hattiesburg.
The funds will assist in the purchase of a walker for a physically disabled preschooler.
Kristina De La Forsa, general manager, recently presented the check to the Center’s director, Margaret Buttross Brinegar.
The Children’s Center provides developmental and educational services to infants, toddlers and preschoolers with disabilities while providing training to university students in the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences. For more information, call 601.266.5222.
