October, 2007- We are pleased to announce receipt of a $5,000 venture grant from United Way of Southeast Mississippi. Margaret Buttross-Brinegar, Co-director of the Children's Center, indicated that grant funds are earmarked for audiological equipment that will be used to evaluate and monitor the hearing of children enrolled in the program.

Pam Peterman, representative of United Way of Southeast Mississippi, presented a check to The Children's Center on October 24th. Dr. Brett Kemker, Chair of Department of Speech and Hearng Sciences and Associate Dean for Academic and Student Affairs in the College of Health was also present [ see photo ].
