Master of Business Administration Dual Degree

Health Promotion Concentration

Students pursuing the health promotion emphasis are prepared for professional careers in health education, research, service, and a wide variety of health organizations such as hospitals, multispeciality health clinics, local and state health departments, voluntary,private and grant funded agencies and industry, government agencies and community health clinics.

All Community Health Sciences majors must meet the following criteria:
1. an overall GPA of at least 2.5 for students transferring into the major.
2. an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher before taking any CHS courses above the
  300 level, excluding CHS430 and CHS436.
3. a grade of "C" or better in all courses required for the major.

Upon selecting Community Health Sciences as a major, each student is assigned an adviser to assist with course scheduling and any additional aspects of the program.

Students in Health Promotion must complete the USM core requirements, and the Major Area of Study requirements and the Health Promotion emphasis area requirements.
