Child Health and Development Lab

Overview

The Child Health and Development Lab under the direction of Dr. Natalie Williams conducts research that is broadly concerned with promoting physical and mental health in vulnerable pediatric populations (e.g., children with diagnosed medical conditions such as cancer, food allergies, or obesity), as well as in young children who are at increased risk for poor outcomes due to their social or environmental circumstances. Currently, much of our work focuses on identifying modifiable influences in the family and child care environments that can be targeted in interventions seeking to prevent and treat obesity during the first years of life.
