Centennial Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition
The University of Southern Mississippi is celebrating its Centennial in 2010. As part of this once-in-a-lifetime celebration, Southern Miss is hosting a national, juried competition. This show will showcase the best of large-scale, contemporary sculpture. In October 2009, five works will be selected by jury to be situated in an outdoor, public setting on campus.
The exhibition will allow the featured works to be complemented by the natural beauty of the campus. The works will be viewed by many visitors to campus who will participate in the Centennial celebration, as well as students and faculty. There will be a walking tour and map of the sites.
