  • In 2010, Dr. Jubenville was selected by the Nashville Business Journal as part of its second class of Forty Under 40 spotlighting top Nashville-area business leaders under the age of 40 who excel in their industries and show dynamic leadership. http://nashville.bizjournals.com/nashville/event/6639

  • In 2009, Jubenville partnered with Learning Through Sports and The Sun Belt Conference to develop and launch the first online, interactive, reality-based sportsmanship education platform entitled RealSportsmanship.  The platform was implemented by the conference as part of an initiative to heighten coaches and athletes awareness regarding on-field and off-field behaviors.   • Also in 2009, Jubenville partnered with Cellular South, Inc., as a consultant to help redefine and reconnect the Cellular South Game Plan, a program that is designed to educate parents, students, coaches, teachers and administrators about the NCAA eligibility process.  The program is currently implemented in Mississippi and Mobile, AL.

  • In 2008, Jubenville secured private funding and launched The Center for Sport Policy & Research (CSPR) partnering with Learning Through Sports, Inc. (www.learningthroughsports.com) The Center seeks to become a leader for change in the academic discipline and profession of sport. The Center is housed at Middle Tennessee State University, in conjunction with the Sport Management graduate program, and aims to create a scope of knowledge and consensus about sport; develop a new class of leaders and thinkers called Scholarly Sport Practitioners; and address the concept of social responsibility in sport organizations and stakeholders.

  • In 2007, Jubenville secured private funding and developed and co-founded the Journal of Sport Administration & Supervision (JSAS) with the help of fellow Southern Mississippi alumni Dr. Benjamin D. Goss and Dr. Mike Martinez.  JSAS is the first open access, peer-reviewed journal in the academic discipline of sport management that was designed to develop, advance, disseminate, promote, and preserve knowledge within the academic discipline of sport management by providing an outlet that is both grounded in academic theory and driven by the needs of practitioners and the environment of the sport industry. www.jsasonline.org

  • That same year, Jubenville worked closely with Johnny Veselka of the Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA, www.tasaonline.org) to validate a steroid education program implemented by the University Interscholastic League (UIL, www.uil.utexas.edu) within selected school districts in the state of Texas. The study proved valuable in improving both the process and outcomes related to the steroid education program.

  • Finally, Jubenville was part of a think tank that developed www.mysportsmanship.com. The outcome was a community that gave high school and college student athletes a platform to tell the world what their sportsmanship was, why it shaped who they are, what they do, and why they matter.

  • Dr. Jubenville has published articles in Sport Marketing Quarterly, the International Journal of Sport Management, the Journal of Marketing in Higher Education, the Journal of Sport Administration and Supervision, the International Journal of Sport Management and Marketing, The Journal of Venue and Event Management as well as many trade articles within the sport industry. Specifically, Jubenville published many articles in Facility Manager Magazine, a trade publication associated with the International Association of Assembly Managers, Inc (IAAM).

 

  • Under Dr. Jubenville’s leadership since 2001, the MTSU sport management master’s degree program has produced more than 120 graduates. Graduates have received jobs throughout the professional (Nashville Predators, Sounds, Titans, Oklahoma City Thunder, Jacksonville Jaguars, Atlanta Braves), University (MTSU, Memphis, Vanderbilt, Florida International, Southern Miss, Oklahoma State, LSU, Troy ), and high school and recreation fields in the sport industry.

  • Dr. Jubenville evaluated the effectiveness of the interactive, reality based platforms developed for the high school level entitled “Star Sportsmanship” which reduced ejections in high school football by more than 60 percent over a three-year period in the states of Mississippi and Alabama.

  • Jubenville is a volunteer coach in the Murfreesboro community with organizations including One Goal Sports, Murfreesboro Soccer Club, and Murfreesboro Optimist Baseball.

 

  • Life Member of the Southern Miss Alumni Association as well as the Eagle Club. 
  • Believes his greatest involvement with the university has been working with several Southern Miss graduates who studied under him at MTSU while pursuing Master’s and Doctoral degrees.
