I am majoring in medical laboratory technology at Southern Miss. I am a senior and will be graduating December 2010. In addition to that, I will be finishing up my phlebotomy clinicals this December and will be earning my phlebotomy certificate before I graduate. I'm so passionate about my major and I would recommend anyone wanting to work in the health field to pursue a degree in medical technology. For those who do not know what med techs do, we perform laboratory tests in a clinical setting to help the physicians diagnose patients. This is my first year as a College of Health Ambassador and so far I love it. It's a great opportunity to recruit students and to give back to the community.
I'm happily married and we have a beautiful daughter named Camryn.
