wants you to know ...

This is my third year to have the privilege of serving as a College of Health Ambassador. This year I am serving as the vice chair of the organization which is very exciting. In previous years I served as the Faculty of the Month chair, whic was a unique experience where I was able to attend the beginning of the College Council meetings and surprise faculty members from across the college with an award.

I had no idea what medical technology even meant when I first arrived at USM! I am so glad that programs like the College of Health Ambassadors help spread the word about different majors. I am now learning how to perform laboratory tests in a clinical setting to help the physicians diagnose patients. Soon I will perform a 26-week clinical rotation at a local hospital which is exciting because that means that work will soon follow!

Every major in our college is unique and important in today's society and the CoH Ambassadors do a fantastic job of helping to publicize all of them. Recruiting is not our only job though. we alsp participate in numerouis community service projects. This year we have participated in the American Heart Walk, Paint Southern Miss Pink, and a canned food drive.

I have lived in Mississippi for ten years now and love it.
