Careers
Speech Communication majors compete successfully for positions in sales, management, and other corporate communication jobs. Graduates have been hired by investment, insurance, public relations, medical/health, educational, and non-profit organizations. Some students choose to continue their educations by attending seminary, law school, or graduate school. Our students have obtained not only masters and doctoral degrees in the communication field, but in a variety of others as well. Alumni include:

Institutions that have hired our graduates include Carson-Newman College, University of New Orleans, Clemson University, Winona State University, Kennesaw State University, Jackson State University, Valdosta State University, Berry College, Sam Houston State University, University of Louisiana Alexandria, Pikesville College, Xavier University, and Louisiana College. Some students use their graduate education to advance careers in business, health, and educational institutions. Graduates have been employed by hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, and nonprofit organizations.
